Ever have this turkey problem?

I cooked the turkey the correct amount of time ~ the little red thingy even popped out. BUT, when I went to carve the turkey, the legs and wings area weren't cooked through! They were still a bit bloody. We didn't eat them, I put them in the fridge to re-cook tomorrow. But why in the world would the breast area get thoroughly cooked and the dark meat would not?

I've never had that happen. Could it be that they were still partly frozen? That is really odd. Hope someone else can give you an answer.

I have called the company before when I have had issues about stuff like this, I am sure you could look their number up online and they should have a helpline.

I would ask if its safe to cook partially cooked meat again?

I've never seen that happen. I would think it would be ok to go a head and finish cooking it. I would call or email the company and ask them if they know.

Was some of your bird still frozen?

You can re cook it, but it could have been that the legs were frozen more so than the middle. But, putting it back in the oven right away would have helped it to not loose any juciness, but it should still be good. Check it first.

I have never had this happen before. I agree with calling the company if possable, though.

Our turkey thing never popped up and we cooked it an hour longer then it said too. Finally we just said that we would cut into it and see if it was done and, thankfully, it was. I wonder why the red thing never popped up, though!

No hasn't happened to me, but it does sound like it was still frozen.
