Hello Busy Moms,
My name is Devin D. and I am a 21 year old Culinary student. I am also a busy mother trying to make sure that my son as well as my boyfriend are fed, and not just fed but some healthy food as well. Some thing that I have learned from watching certain shows on Food Network is at the beginning of each week try and plan out your menu. Let say you see a sale in the grocery on a roasted chicken, buy it. Then plan your menu around it. You can make tacos with ttis chicken, sandwiches, one pot meals with it, salads, and amny more things. One thing that is easy for me is planning my menu because my son is not a picky eater. He eats fruits, vegetables, and even fish==>this makes me extremely happy. Another thing with my son is he is no longer in daycare, but I try to keep him on the same eating schedule as if he was. So he has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and snack between each meal. I collect recipes like people breath air, so feel free to shoot me a message for recipes or even just questions. I have been cooking for my brothers ever since I was nine years old, so I enjoy doing what I do.
Welcome to Recipes for Busy Moms, Devin! You are wonderfully organized about cooking. I do the same thing about buying what is on sale and planning meals around it. Yesterday I cooked a turkey that I had bought on sale, and now we'll have several meals with turkey, including turkey soup, which will be nice this time of year.
Well hello Devin...we look forward to having you share some of your recipes....and culinary school..what a blessing!!! I was up till 2:30 this morning watching the Food Network...Love it!!! Do you have a favorite style of cooking or favorite type of food to prepare yet?
