Mozzarella en Carozza

My DH's cousin gave me this recipe. We have a tradition in my family that when there's a wedding, everyone invited is asked to provide a recipe, and these are put together in a book for the bride. They are now done in scrapbook form. I love looking at them. We had this the other night with homemade Cream of Tomato soup.

It's best to use a firm bread, like you would for french toast, and use thick slices of Mozzarella, or several slices of pre-sliced.

Mozzarella en Carozza

8 slices bread

Mozzarella

1/2 cup milk

2 eggs, beaten

Slice Mozzarella. Put in bread. Dip sandwich in egg mixture. Fry-saute until bread is brown on each side.

Sounds interesting!  I love the idea of putting together a recipe book for the bride-to-be!
