 Easy Ham and Broccoli Macaroni and Cheese


◦1 (7-ounce) Smithfield Ham steak, cubed
◦1 (32-ounce) box frozen macaroni and cheese, thawed in the refrigerator
◦1 cup steamed broccoli florets
◦1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
◦1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
◦1 tablespoon butter, melted

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine macaroni and cheese, ham, broccoli, and 1/2 cup shredded cheese Spoon into a 9 x 9 baking dish; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese.

In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter, stirring well; sprinkle on casserole. Cook, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

 Good twist on plain ole mac n cheese!  I sometimes add ham to my baked mac n cheese but never thought to add broccoli.  Think I'll try it next time I make it.

Oh man!  This sounds delicious!  Could be a good side dish, or even a whole meal!

 I've added ham to my macaroni and cheese, but not broccoli-that's a good idea, plus this would be quick to fix, using frozen mac & cheese.

 I've made something similar, we love this dish.
