Does anyone know any good ones??

I have cucumbers and jalapenos, and I want to can them, but I don't know any good recipes.

I used one off the web last year for my jalapenos and it was waaay too salty, so I would rather go with a recipe that I know someone actually likes:)

Jalapenos you don't really have to can. You can just douple bag them in freezer bags and place in your freezer. Cucumbers I've never tried to can unless making pickles.

My husband and I love to can jalapenos! We use vinegar and  Ball's 100% pickle crisp.  All that is is calcium chloride.  We fill the jar with the veggie and pour in the vinegar. You add 1 1/2 teaspoons to each quart or 3/4 teasoon to each pint.  You can basically do all veggies with this stuff.

 I have never canned anything before.  Try googling...I'm sure there are tons of recipes out there.

what's the ratio? Do you have a recipe?

I can't find much online. What does the pickle crisp do?
