Now what do I make? Homemade yogurt? fromage blanc? Or do I start right out with the chevre?
I have no idea what those things are. The only thing I have had is a cheese and it was too strong for my liking.
I have not had goat milk before either...but glad your goats are milking. If you can make homemade yogurt with goat's milk...that sounds good.
Goat's milk can be strong if the males are left in with the girls. Fromage blanc is like cream cheese. Yogurt is yummy no matter what kind of milk ya use.
Kimberly, you probably had chevre or feta:) I like those, but they can be strong!
Where have you tried it? How the goats are kept has a LOT to do with the flavor of the milk. A few of my friends have taken the challenge at our place and couldn't pick out the goat milk versus unadulterated cows milk.

OMG I LOOOOOVE GOAT CHEESE! Seriously, one of my favorite foods. First time I had it was at Carrabbas, Chicken Bryan. And now I make it at home.. Grilled chicken with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, and a lemon butter sauce... Mmmm
MMMM.. sounds good! How do you make the lemon sauce?

Cook some onion and garlic in a butter, then add some white wine or chicken broth and lemon juice.
