crock pot ideas

 Hello all,

I am a full-time working mommy to 2 babies under 18 months...so I am very busy.  I'd love to utilize my crockpot more, so that dinner will be all set when I get home after a long day.  The problem is that I leave the house at 7am and don't return home until 6pm.  I'm afraid that's too long to have food cook in the crockpot--I don't want to come home to dried-up, burnt food.  Does anyone know any crockpot recipes that can stand up to an 11-hour cook time?

Everything I cook in the crock pot is in there that long.  I have never had a problem with anything drying out or burning.

If you can afford it, get one with a timer. I got one of those it was 30 dollars then you can set it to start later while you are at work. If not try adding more liquid to the crock pot so the food wont dry out.

Feel free to look at this link.

Most of your normal oven or stove top recipes can be converted to crockpot, you just have to adjust for the time.  Take a look at the link below; there's some converting times for you.

as long as you cook on low pretty much everything should be fine, I love stuffed peppers prepared just like you would in the oven but cook on low and make sure you have plenty of tomato sauce, I make soups and chillis all the time
