What are some of your fave ways to prepare them?
I'm grilling some tonight on the George Foreman, but I'm looking for some new ideas.
I boil mine stove top. (usually about 7 leg quarters though) Sprinkle with my favorite seasonings before putting them in the boiler and let them boil about and hour. Serve them and add BBQ Sauce, Hot Sauce, etc....whatever sauce you like. Sometimes I just eat mine plain.
I don't buy thighs usually but I like this Spicy Honey Glaze recipe that calls for thighs...I just use breasts.
We don't eat them---I have a hard enough time eating breast meat.
I really could go vegan....lol
Hey sweety :) Here is a chicken recipe that my MIL taught me........I usually make it with boneless skinless breasts, but you can use any kind of chicken and it is so yummy :) I was taught this recipe and have never measured when making it, so just make the appropriate amount for your family size. When I make this, use 5 breasts and 5 lbs of red, unpeeled potatoes as my husband loves the potatoes left over.
Coat the bottom of a glass baking dish with olive oil (I use a 9 x 13 glass pyrex)
Add the chicken and season it with salt, pepper and rosemary.
Clean and cut your potatoes into at least one inch pieces..........like I said I use unpeeled red potatoes, but I have also made it with white potatoes and I never peel them as it takes up too much time, but if you don't like the skins you can peel them first lol
Put the cubed potatoes into a large bowl and coat with olive oil (not too much) and season with salt, pepper, and rosemary and mix............then put the potatoes on top of the chicken and roast at 350 degrees until the chicken is cooked and the potatoes are tender.
In a pinch, when I did not have olive oil, I have made it where I placed the chicken, pototoes, salt, pepper, and rosemary in the pyrex and added stick margarine and it is also delish that way :)
I hope this helps!
ohh and I usually make 2 veggies on the side.........usually green beans and corn as they my kids fave lol
