Tenderloin Steak?

We got an elk this past hunting season and we had them butterfly the back strap which gave us lots and lots of tenderloin steak. Any ideas what to do with it? I hear the only good way to cook it is in the crock pot.

We make a lot of venison but never elk so my experience ends there. I would marinte it and throw it on the grill. Or chop it into chunks, lightly bread and pan fry. I think marinating is key as well as soaking it in water or milk to draw out as much blood as you can. The blood is what gives meat a gamy flavor.

I know with venison two of the best ways to take away the "game" taste is either by cooking it with wine or a tomato based sauce.
