What are some different ways I can make my grilled cheese? I'm getting sick of just cheese.

You can add ham. I do this often and my kids love it!!

I will add some kind of meat or even thinly slice tomatoes.

I loved grilled cheese with ham or salami and a little bit of mustard.

Switch up the type of cheese and bread.

Add some bacon, tomato, spinach leaves, whatever you like.

Make a monte cristo (ham and cheese dipped in egg and grilled like French toast)!

Monte Cristos! That is my favorite way to pep up even a basic grilled cheese.  Try different cheeses, smoked gouda is fantastic(try it in the deli department before buying, some people dont like the smokey flavor) Havarti, garlic cheddar, provolone, pepper jack, colby jack, muenster....all super yummy for a grilled cheese

My favorite is Turkey and Strawberries with Havarti. You can make it with ham and turkey and whatever cheese you like.

We have done ham and we just made a grilled cheese with pepperonis. I think I may try bacon. And switch the cheese.

I've added bologna or spam to mine...or you could try ham, sausage or eggs.

I made grilled cheese the other day on sourdough with American and provolone. Sometimes I add a little garlic powder to the melted butter. Tomatoes slices are also a good addition.
Have you ever heard of a Croque Monsieur? It's the French version. I have a recipe but I'm on my phone so can't post it right now.
