http://www.chambanamoms.com/2012/05/21/easy-picnic-recipe-cole-slaw-hold-the-mayo/
1 bag of shredded cabbage (found with pre-washed, bagged salad mix)
3/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup oil
1/3 cup + 1 TBS of sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Put cabbage in non-reactive bowl, preferably one with a cover. Mix vinegar, salt and sugar together using a whisk (or shake in a salad-dressing cruet or mason jar). Add oil and mix until combined. Pour over cabbage, toss and cover. Refrigerate for two to three hours, tossing the mixture a few times.

Love coleslaw too....thought this one was interesting that it did not use mayo.....When I make mine, I use the bagged slaw and Ranch dressing.
Quoting goddess99:Sounds good. I just started eating cole slaw (with mayo).

I just use marzettis. Not sure whats in that stuff. This sounds good though.
Oh, gee, NO....I couldn't....I needs me mayo! However, for people who hate mayo, Greek yogurt is a sub (add a little sugar) and a lot of restaurants thin out the dressing with buttermilk. Like KY Fried, for sure....possibly Red Lobster, too.
I will say, though, this recipe would keep well at a picnic!
lol....yes, thanks for the other tips...
