I "throw together" and yes, its kid friendly....my 2 year old likes it. I use tricolored spiraled pasta (1 box), feta cheese crumbled, sliced olives, halved cherry tomatoes, and a bottle of greek salad dressing.

I make one with the small ring pasta or small shells. It has equal part mayo and miracle whip, a peeled diced cucumber, a seeded diced tomato, and a few diced hard boiled eggs, seasoned with salt and pepper, my kiddos really like it.

I like to put things together.  I guess mine is kid friendly (so long as you don't have my kid lol).  Usually I like to cook the pasta, then add some mayo and some ranch, then I cut up tomatoes, red onion and black olives and throw them in, also add pieces of cheddar cheese and crutons.  Sometimes I will season it with some sazon instead of ranch.

This is an unusual recipe that I had at a friend's house and begged for the recipe. Don't be put off by the sweetened condensed milk-this tasts a little bit sweet, not mayonnaisy, and kids love it.

Macaroni Salad
1-lb. Small shell macaroni, cooked and drained
1 large green pepper, chopped
4 carrots, grated
1 red onion, chopped
1 can Sweetened Condensed milk
2 cups mayonnaise
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup vinegar
1 Tablespoon salt
1 Tablespoon yellow mustard

Stir all ingredients together and refrigerate overnight.

Mine is really simple. Tri pasta, italian dressing, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot matchsticks. My dd likes it too.

I use shells or bowties, then add feta cheese, chopped tomato, cucumber and mayonaise....my kids clean this up!
