I went out yesterday, and the bar had an amazing horseradish sauce it served with its tavern chips. I asked for the recipe, and the bar tender told me it was just mayo and horseradish. I tried it at home, but I can't seem to get the consistency and taste right. It was pretty thick and somewhat mild with a good horseradish kick at the end. And it was all white. No green or yellow or red (or nothing added like scallions or peppers).
Any idea re: what I could do? I was thinking of trying mayo salad dressing instead of Hellman's, but I don't know if that'd make a good deal of difference.
Someone mentioned Arby's horsey sauce. I've never had that. Maybe they're similar?
