If your children are in school, do they eat school lunch or packed home lunch?

All of mine eat school lunch except one due to special diet.

He mostly brings his lunch. Last year, there were a few days he wanted to buy it because something on the menu sounded good to him.

We pack lunch bc i'm sorry but $3.25 a day for 2 kids, its too much!
There are days that if really like what's served they'll get it but that us maybe like 1-2 times amonth.
So, I am always looking for good healthy lunches for my girls, and me too!

We will be packing their lunches. I am not impressed with the lunch menus at our school and my DD has celiacs, so she can't eat gluten and I just feel better knowing what she is eating.

1 mom liked this

I made peanut butter a lot at first...so mine will not do peanut butter.  I make tuna burgers (canned tuna with egg and cornstarch and seasonings mixed in...formed in a patty and fried) and homemade chicken nuggets (boneless chicken cut in strips) and a hamburger....sometimes a cold cut sandwich or chicken sandwich (boneless breast boiled and placed on bun).....I'm going to work on getting some thermos supplies where I can send soup, leftovers, etc.

My dd starts preschool this year and I have to pack a lunch. i have NO idea what I am going to pack her because she basically only eats PB&J's cold. I have a bunch of stuff pinned on pinterest for ideas.

My daughter brings her lunch most days.  Sometimes when they have pizza day or free cookie day or lucky tray day I'll let her get hot lunch.  She's pretty picky though and doesn't like much of what they serve so it's easier to send her to school with a lunch.

School doesn't start here until Sept. But she will have both, dependant on the school menu. But at the school she's going to they serve pizza every day =/ I'm not thrilled so I'm still planning on packing at least 2-3 lunches a week.

Mine usually start with a packed lunch for the 1st month or so, then want school bought, then back to packed, lol.
