Makes 4 cups (6-8 servings)
Grease inside of crock-pot up to water level with one teaspoon butter
Add to pot:
4 cups water, room temperature
2 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
Cover, turn on low. Cook overnight or 8-9 hours.
A few minutes before serving, add other desired ingredients: cinnamon, raisins, nuts, etc...
Stir and serve.
