Baked Turkey Legs

 We like this on cold days.

 

Baked Turkey Legs

2 turkey legs/thighs
Salt & pepper to taste
2 Tablespoons peanut oil
3 lbs small new potatoes
3 tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon additional peanut oil
1 cup white wine, or chicken broth
2 teaspoons rosemary leaves
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon thyme
Preheat oven to 350. Salt and pepper turkey thing/legs. Sprinkle with oil and place in a baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Saute potatoes in butter and additional oil, for 5 minutes, turning frequently. Add wine or broth to turkey. Add rosemary, bay leaves and thyme. Add sauteed potatoes around turkey. Return to oven and bake another 20-30 minutes or until tender.
