Planning your menu? I'm pregnant and don't like much meat especially beef its the texture but my husband is not fond of chicken, don't get me started on pork not a huge fan . What are some menu/ grocery shopping items I could look for?

mushrooms are a good substitute for meat as far as texturally.  Hubby and I are similar so I would defrost his type a meat and he would cook his own meat.  Funny, because I was not big on meat while pregnant either and it was what tipped me off that I was pregnant.  With my first, the sight made me ill and with my second, the smell of it made me ill.

Fish, dried beans, cheese, yogurt, milk, eggs all are protein rich. Dried fruits, enriched grains and deep green veggies all contain iron. What about ground turkey or ground chicken if it's the texture that bothers you? Did your doctor reccommend a dietician? They can be a lot of help.

Smoothies with added protein powder might be an option for you.

Well, you've cut out everything other than seafood. Maybe tofu? lol

My family will pretty much eat anything so I don't have that problem (thank goodness!). Good luck!
