Gouda Cheese Ball
1 tub (8 oz) cream cheese spread
2 cups (8 oz) shredded Gouda or Colby cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
1/4 cup sliced drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley, celery leaves or nuts
1. In medium bowl, mix cream cheese spread and Gouda until blended. Stir in chives, tomatoes and garlic powder.
2 Shape mixture into 1 large or 2 small balls or logs. Roll in parsley, celery leaves or nuts.. Wrap in plastic wrap.
3. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until firm. Serve with crackers.
This is a little different, but not too exotic. It can be made as far ahead as two weeks, which I really like
