If you make salads, what do you normally put in them? What kind of lettuce do you use and other veggies?

I like a lot of variety, so I use different lettuces, whatever looks good at the farmer's market. Romaine, iceberg, butterlettuce, radicchio, redleaf, spinach. Then I put in whatever fresh veggies I have on hand, like cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, carrots, red or yellow peppers, onions, broccoli, cauliflower are some. Then I like to top it with olives and different cheeses like Swiss, Cheddar, blue, feta or Havarti. I sometimes add fruit like strawberries, peaches, raspberries, blueberries or avocado and nuts like pecans, walnuts, almonds and raisins or dried cherries or cranberries or blueberries. If it's the main dish, I'll add chicken, turkey, beef, fish or seafood like crab or shrimp. I like to make my salad dressings.

Our salad at lunch today was redleaf lettuce, yellow tomatoes, celery, carrot slivers, yellow peppers, green onions, baby cucumbers, Kalamata olives, shredded Parmesan cheese, shrimp and tomato viniagrette.

I use different types of lettuce. I normally add diced ham, bacon bits, boiled eggs, green & black olives, cheese (sliced ans shredded), carrots, peppers, cucumbers and sometimes some dried cranberries.

I usually have either spinach or a 50/50 mix. I usually put in Red onion, kalmata olives, Parmesan or asiago cheese and a fat free Italian dressing.

We buy prepackaged salad, so I don't know what lettuce types they have but there is always red and green lol. Carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, hard boiled eggs, chopped ham or chicken, salad dressing, croutons.

Depends. I always use iceburg or romaine. I make one with craisens, almonds, strawberrys and mandarin oranges with a homemade basil vinigarette. I put grilled chicken on it when I make it a meal. I make a simple salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber. I also make a spanish salad with a homemade dressing as well, it has ham, swiss, and olives.

Usually romaine but sometimes spinach. I add cucumbers, carrot shreds, tomatoes, red onion, cheese and croutons. Olives if we have them. I will add grilled chicken or steak to make it an entree.
