Couldn't find this on google but if a thing of tuna salad says use by feb 10 I should be ok right? smelled ok didn't look crazy.

I dont risk things like that. If it says use by then i toss it after that. things can spoil.

It depends on what it is.  If it is only a day or two later, I will sometimes use it.  But not usually something with mayo or deli salads, etc.

 I wouldn't eat it. If in doubt-throw it out. Not worth the risk.

I wouldn't. Some things would be okay but not anything with mayo or a deli type salad.

yep. I hardly ever go by those use by date things. they aren't accurate. its just when the store has to sell it by. as long as it smells and looks ok, its fine. I eat things past their use by date all the time. have for years. never once gotten sick or anything.

But it was use by not sell by. It tasted fine I just started worrying bc I never do that
