Recipe of the Week, March 3: Hamburger Casserole
This is a simple recipe that is great for a week-night meal. The sour cream and cream cheese makes it extra creamy.
1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 cup sour cream
1 (3oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 (10 ¾ oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. noodles, cooked and drained
Sauté onion and ground beef. Blend tomato sauce, sour cream, cream cheese, and mushroom soup in a blender. In a large casserole dish layer half the noodles, half the meat mixture, and half the sour cream mixture. Repeat layers and top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
