I made them today for the first time! I hope they turn out right. I didn't use a certain recipe just went with the flow of what I thought would be okay.
Preheat oven to 425 while preparing ingredients
Here is what I used:
2 pounds ground beef (normally I buy gr. chuck but our store was out)
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup crushed saltine crackers
Garlic salt, garlic powder, and pepper (didn't measure added by the eye)
1/2 red onion, diced
2 jars traditional Prego spaghetti sauce
Here is what I did while oven was preheating:
Mix all ingredients together in large bowl with hands
Ice cream scooped meatballs and rounded out onto foil lined bakind pan
Made 15 meatballs (could make more but made them larger)
Baked on 425 for 30 minutes
After finished baking scooped balls into crockpot while avoiding all grease
Added both jars of spaghetti sauce over the meatballs and cooking on low now. Probably for 4 hours total.
Going to serve over spaghetti noodles
I really hope they turn out! I'll update after supper tonight to update how they turn out!!

They were delicious! My dh and in laws loved them as well as my 2 year old. My 4 year old is very.picky so all she would eat was the sauce lol! I think next time I'm going to try with Italian bread crumbs to see how those turn out. I was thinking as well that this recipe is very similar to my meatloaf lol :)
