Has anyone ever cooked their patties on the griddle? my iron skillet is small and I don't want to stand, fry and flip forever today.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, as long as you use Non-stick spray or enough oil.

If it's a flat griddle it will work fine. If it's a ridged griddle, then the salmon patties need to be firm for it to work.

We've tried the brats and smoked sausage...have not tried the patties yet..

I've made them on a George Foreman grill. I was not impressed enough to tweak the recipe. I found that they bake very nicely on a baking sheet with parchment paper. It's up to you if you turn them or not ... I did not turn mine.

Also about salmon pattie recipes! I followed a recipe that calls for dry stuffing crumbs (you use a dry herb stuffing and process it till crumbs.) Sounds good but it made the worst ever patties ... they were very wet and did not cook well at all.

I ended up not using the griddle because I remembered that my bean patties came out soft instead of crispy like in the skillet so I just used the skillet since we like our samon patties a lil crispy.
