On top of the refrigerator during the summer, when we buy store bought bread because it's too hot to turn the oven on. During the rest of the year we bake it fresh every 2 or 3 days so it sits right on the counter in a ziplock bag.

I always keep mine in the fridge, we've never had any problems with it there.

Well last winter I accidentally left a grocery bag with two loaves on top the car. It snowed and I didn't find it for a couple of weeks. It was totally frozen to the top of the car. Some where along I55 it finally came loose and blew away. Just make a note that sunlight will freshen bread that has been frozen.

I have stepkids who are sometimes with us (and when I buy a lot of  bread) and then not with us (when the bread sits around).  I used to throw loaves away for getting moldy because I forgot about them or the boys didn't come back in time before the loaf went stale.

Since I got this I find my loaves last an extra 4-6 days, on average.

**disclaimer: I'm a Tupperware consultant, but I don't sell on Cafemom. This item's currently on sale and I'm happy to give the website address to anyone who wants it, but only via PM.
