I love this recipe because it's easy and can be made to your taste and you really can use what is in your cabinet as far as seasonings go.

About 4 pounds of pork loin.

1 Bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. I like sweet baby rays.

1 Onion

1/2 cup of water

20 oz of your favorite soda. I used Dr. Pepper.

Seasonings. I used garlic powder, cayanne pepper, pepper, salt and perfect pinch garlic pepper.

I rubbed the seasoning mix on to the pork loin the night before and refridgerated it. (If you can't it's not a big deal)

Thiny slice 3/4 of the onion and line the bottom of your crockpot with them. Put the seasoned pork loin on top of the onions. Dice the rest of the onion and put it on top of the pork loin. Add 1/2 cup of water and entire 20 oz bottle of soda. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours and 30 minutes or on low for 8 hours. Go shopping enjoy your day. When you return: Take the pork loin out, along with some onions and put into a bowl. Take the rest of the juices and onions and save for later use in making a gravy or soup, dont waste it! IT will be delicious. Using two forks pull the pork apart, when done put it back in the crock pot with entire bottle of BBQ sauce and cook on high for one more hour. Serve with beans and on little toasted butter buns!

I used a recipe with Root Beer and my family didn't like it, this might be better.

I think it softens the meat and add just a hint of flavor not too much.
