 My family loves this

Goulash:

1 lb Ground Beef
1 Small Green Pepper
1 Large Onion
1 TBS Butter or Oil
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
4 Cups Cooked Macaroni
1(15 oz) Can Tomatoes
1 (15 oz) Can Tomato Sauce

Sauté peppers and onions in oil. Add ground beef, salt and black pepper. Cook until browned. Add this to tomatoes, tomato sauce and macaroni. Simmer on low heat about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Some water can be added if needed.

Luci's is very similar to what my mom used to make when I was growing up.

1 lb hamburger
1 small onion
Salt & pepper to tast
Ketchup and mustard to taste
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste or soup
Noodles (I use 1/2 a box)

Brown you hamburger along with your diced onion. Add the salt and pepper. Drain off grease and return to pan. Add ketchup, mustard and tomato paste to the meat. When your noodles are done drain water and return to pan. Add diced tomatoes to noodles along with meat sauce. Mix well and taste to see if you need to add more ketchup and mustard.

I'm a cook by taste cook so some of the recipes that I have I don't have measurements too. This recipe was given to me by my Dh's grandma. She doesn't use measurements either on her goulash. She told me that you want the zip of the mustard but not overpowering so.

If I'm making a large batch of Sloppy Joe, I'll omit the pickle relish and use the leftovers to make Goulash and add some sauteed onion, green pepper, and oregano or rosemary.

Cubed round steak makes very very good goulash. One of those winter meals when there is no sloppy joe leftovers.
