I want to cook up some chicken for dinner tonight in my crockpot i need some ideas plz. thank you for your help
Whhat type of chicken?
I normally only just have boneless, skinless breasts. I'd put the chicken in the crock pot and allow to cook with salsa. You could use a cream of mushroom soup and cheese too.
I have boneless skinless chicken breast, I can't have muchrooms that would land me in the ER. I don't have any salsa.
Cut up the chicken and toss it in with a can of cream of whatever soup.
Cut up chicken and put in crock pot. Add a bottle of teriyaki sauce and a bag of frozen stir fry veggies. Serve over rice.
Cheesy Chicken & Rice
(This uses a substitute for cream of chicken soup or instead of the milk, broth and flour you could use two cans soup)
1 1/2 cups of long grain rice1 1/2 cups chicken broth1 1/2 cups milk, divided 3/4 cup flour1 small red onion, diced3 lbs boneless skinless chicken pieces (either breasts or thighs)8 oz bacon cut into small pieces1 tsp dried onion flakes1 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp black pepper1/2 tsp paprika1 tsp salt16 oz shredded cheddar cheese
6 quart crock pot
Spray crock pot with non-stick cooking spray
Mix rice, onions, bacon, and seasonings in crock pot
Bring chicken broth and 1/2 cup of milk to a boil, reduce heat
Combine flour and remaining milk and slowly whisk into broth mixture. Remove from heat and let cool.
Place chicken on top of rice mixture. Pour broth & milk mixture on top.
Cook on high for 3 hours.
Add cheese and cook for another hour on low.
Chicken and Spanish RiceFirst add 1-2 cups dry riceThen add some chicken...any kindThen 1 jar salsaAdd 1/2 jar to 1 jar of water (depending on how much rice you used)Cook high 4 hrs or low 8 hrs.You can add carrots after the chicken if you like.
4-6 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thirds 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice½ teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon celery salt ½ teaspoon paprika1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup 1/3 cup dry sherry or white wine(optional-but improves the flavor) Parmesan cheese, freshly grated Rice or egg noodles
Rinse chicken and pat dry. In a large bowl or meat platter, season chicken with lemon juice, pepper, celery salt and paprika. Place in crock-pot. In medium bowl or pan, mix the soups with the sherry. Pour over chicken breasts. Cover and cook on low 7 to 10 hours or on high 4 to 5 hours. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese. Serve over noodles or rice.
Chicken Santa Fe
1 (15 1/2 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained2 (15 1/2 oz) cans whole kernel corn, drained1 cup salsa5-6 boneless chicken breasts or thighs1 cup shredded cheddar cheese1/2 cup chopped green onions. In slow cooker, mix beans, corn & 1/2 cup salsa. Top with chicken. Pour 1/2 cup salsa over chicken. Cover and cook on high 2 1/2-3 hours or low for 6-7 hours, till chicken is tender and cooked throughout. Do not over cook, or chicken will be tough. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cover and cook 5 minutes to melt. Top with scallions for garnish.
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
2 Tablespoons butter
1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
Put chicken, butter and dressing mix in slow cooker; cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
Add cream cheese and soup, mix together and cook on high for another 1/2 hour or until heated through and warm.
Cream Cheese Chicken4 boneless chicken breasts or thighs2 tablespoons melted butter1 pkg. dry Italian salad dressing 1 can condensed chicken soup 8 ounces cream cheese1/4 cup chicken brothminced onionoptional - celery and carrots---pour chicken broth in bottom of crock pot, then add the chicken. drizzle melted butter over chicken and sprinkle with dry Italian dressing. add pepper to taste. i add carrots, celery and onion roughly chopped around the chicken for more veggies and taste. cook low 6 hours. 45 minutes before done, mix soup and cream cheese (i melt in microwave for a few minutes to combine until smooth). add mixture to crock pot and continue cooking on low for 30-45 minutes.I sever this over noodles. the sauce is rich and YUMMY!
