I bought a bento box for my son's lunch this year too. I love that you can mix up several different things so that they don't get sick of anything.

I don't only because my dd wants hot lunch every day.

I do bento lunches. This week I have done cheese and ham skewers, egg salad and crackers and cheese, homemade uncrustable, lunchable style - sides vary: fruit, carrot sticks, chips, yogurt. I try to do a carb, fruit, protein, dairy and veggie if I can get one in she likes (carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, etc) in each box.

We do this sometimes. She likes having a lot of little bites.

It takes a little more time, but I don't think it's any more expensive.

1 mom liked this

It doesnt take me anymore time to cut a sandwich into a shape than it is to put it on whole but sliced in half.
