I just put the chicken strips in buttermilk.
I put flour on a baking dish(for more room. Added Season salt and pepper.
Put a little buttermilk in the flour to make half if it "clumpy" then put in it oil for about 2 min each side!

They were a hit! I found it on the pioneer women:)

I'm not good at certain types of food and the pioneer women has helped me make so many yummy meals. I'm getting better.

Buttermilk is key to this! I'm in love how moist it makes the chicken!:-)

I've made them before but they are never moist:( and w the buttermilk drizzled into the flour it just gives it a nice clumpy and crispy outside:)

It's on her website. I love it.

Thanks for the post, I've been meaning to try this recipe since I saw the Pioneer woman's show.

This is a stupid question, but what kind of chicken do you use for the strips? Those little chicken cutlets or boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into strips? I really want to try these!

These sounds delicious and so easy and healthier I am sure than the premade ones you buy. I LOVE Pioneer Woman... that is who i want to be when I grow up. LOL!! I actually got to meet her too. She's a sweet lady!!!

It's not stupid! Lol. I didn't even know these things until I started watching her on tv and looking at her pics on her website! I even learned to make Mexican rice the right way and how to make a steak! My poor hubby had gone a long time w me sucking at this! Lol.

I bought boneless chicken breasts and cut them myself into thick strips. It was on sale. I think boneless is best for this. IMO. But u can use boneless chicken quarters or breast or cutlets.

It was the easiest recipe ever and she post pics. That's what I love! Lol.
