Making BBQ bacon wrapped chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and peas. For some reason, the rain and not scorching temps have me thinking of comfort food.

What are you making for dinner?apron

BTW...the chicken is awesome and easy to make!

Chicken breasts (I fillet mine in half)

spread with BBQ sauce, wrap with bacon, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and add a little more bbq sauce. I dont add any other spices.

Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes.

I think we're going to have red beans and rice.  Talk about comfort food!  We have fall weather going on again (so much this summer!) and DH comes home today.  This is a family fave.

Edit:  I forgot to prep before we left the house, so it'll be a BLT salad instead!

We will probably have a pork roast.  I'll probably roast some carrots from our garden.  We'll also have dilly beans and broth.

I made pasta....I added oven roasted asparagus and almonds, mushrooms sauted in butter and white wine and tomatoes with italian seasonings.  SO good!!!!!!  I just got through getting the asparagus sauted and will mix it all up in a while.  It's very light and so good!!
