Logan is 15 months old and many nights we have a terrible time falling asleep. Sometimes he will nurse to sleep and then I can just scoot away from him and he stays asleep. Other nights he flips and flops and twists and turns all over the bed and just will NOT be still and fall asleep. Sometimes this can go on for over an hour. I know he's tired...he doesn't have a set bedtime because if he's not ready to go, there are tears....so I just watch for signs of sleepiness and that's when he goes to bed. He only takes one nap during the day and sometimes we have the flipping and flopping all over the bed then too. I can hold him down in sort of a bear hug, and this makes him cry....but only for a few minutes and then he will be asleep I dislike this, though, for many reasons. He needs to figure out how to settle himself and I just don't know how to help. Suggestions would be great.

Have you ried rubbing his back or head. Have you tried wearing him out throiughout the day. Does he have a routine such as taking a bath, reading books ect...

I do rub his back or his head or pat his bottom. Sometimes this helps, sometimes it just makes him more unsettled. I do wear him, often, in the Ergo. It's the only way I get any chores done and we also walk a coupleof miles. Evening routine is dinner, bath, play quietly, read, bed.
