Your House or There House?

 Hi ladies,is thanksgiving at your house or there house this year?Im happy it will be small and at my home this year.

Alwyas at my house- its just me and hubby and three young adult kids, with thier s/o's.

 

Maybe in the future we will be having it at one of thier homes..

So many emotions erupted when I started to respond to this post.  I miss the old days at my mom's house with family and friends all gathered at the table.  We grew up like that and it made an impression on us all for life.  They are all gone now :(  .... and we have all moved away.   Have always tried to make "Thanksgiving" something a little more special, where ever we were living. It's an American Celebration and unfortunately all the Countrries we have resided in don't celebrate it. No Pilgrims living in France or Holland.  Instilling thankfulness for all we are blessed with and an awareness of those less fortunate than ourselves in our children is important.

Thanksgiving is at our home this year ......and every day afterwards. It's not really the where ... it's the awareness you feel in your heart each day.
