Evening everyone,

I am new to posting although I've been a member for a few months. I am trying to do better at Christmas this year. Last year we had some issues and my poor son had a small Christmas. He was a trooper and never cried about it. Although this time I am not working and we are Pregnant with our baby girl. My DH and I are planning to start early. It's kind of scary being prgnant after 9 years, the world has changed so much when it comes to kids. Any suggestions on things that we can do to for my son who is nine, that would be affordable, but nice?

Hi iamarmyvetmom,

welcometo the group.

What kinds of things does your son like and how old is he?

Congrats on having a little girl.

Sorry thought I wrote it. He is nine years old. He likes video games but he has a bunch already. I want to find things to get him away from the gaming. Thanks for asking.

I have a 9 year old and I just asked him and this is what he said:

A football

Bike

basketball goal (this is good even for the ones that are not that active in sports..my oldest hates sports and he still loves to stand around and shoot hoops)

I will get back to you with some more in a few!

Football, basket ball, skate board. and last year I got my son's bike on Black Friday for 25.00 so my suggestion would be to watch the ads

Welcome, and congrats on the little girl.

I agree with a poster that said watch the Black Friday Ads. I have no idea what to get a boy. I struggle every year with my little cousins.

Ahhh, the crazy age for boys! I don't know how your son is, but my siblings around that age can be so fickle! The best gift I've noticed that they get stoked over is definitely a gift card. Can't go wrong there! :) A couple of my brothers got iTunes cards for their ipods, that was a good one too.
