Cafe Mom Influencer program $50 gift card post #1

I thought long and hard on what to purchase with the gift card.  Finally because of a cold snap it became clear what I must purchase.  With the holidays comes colder weather.  My children were ill prepared due to the fact their last years coat was worn out.  They had used them for 2 seasons and sorely needed replacements.  So off I went gift card in hand.  I was able to purchase my two older children very nice winter jackets.  To top it off they were 40 % off!  THAT WAS HUGE.  I proudly purchased jackets I KNEW they would love.  I can't wait to surprise them when they get home from school

The only drawback to the experience was the toddler selection.  My 3 year old was unable to find a coat at Kmart due to lack of sizes and lack of product.  There was only 1 choice in her size but not the color or thickness we wanted.  The lady did not know when a shipment of coats would be in.  However, I count it as a very successful trip and am please with my purchase.  There is no way we could have afforded the jackets we purchased elsewhere.  The sale plus the gift card came at the right time to fill the need.  The jackets would have been regularly over $90 altogther.  Part of holiday shopping for us has always been preparing for colder weather with a new jacket.  I am proud to say we have upheld this tradtion.

thanks yes...it was such a blast!  I love getting a good deal.  My kids reactions were great.  They loved the jackets and alas I was right my son was ready for the jacket without characters on it....a big kids jacket.  His is really cool black and red and he loves it.  My middle dd of course got a princess jacket  with faux fur around the hood, and adores it. LOL......which I knew she would.  The little one we ended up going to Ross after going many places trying to find toddler jacket.......hers is Osh Kosy with removable jacket insert as well with a little flower and faux fur around the hood and it was only 15 dollars..oh yeah...I am happy

I still haven't bought anything with mine yet.  My husband wants a silver chain, maybe I'll buy that and my stocking stuffers.

I'm glad you were able to get something for your kids that they needed! We, too, do a lot of "winterizing" type things for Christmas (coats, gloves, snow pants, boots, etc.). And, I love that Kmart almost always has their winter stuff on sale for 40% off!
