I've seen several posts inquiring about when you and your family begin decorating... how long after the holidays does it take you to clean-up and take it all down?

I usually start taking things down Jan. 3rd.

 Me too- I usually start Jan.3rd. I have been known a few times to take down Jan.2nd though. Never before New Years though. Except this year I will need too. I get depressed taking them down, so I try to wait.....lol

Usually the day after Christmas.

Don't hate me but we have taken it down Christmas Evening.

Second weekend of January... although, as a kid, I had a nutty aunt who had it up well into the summer , lmao!!!

Most people I know wait til after the 1st of the year... But I usually aim for -- as soon as the holiday is over, hahaha. This year Christmas decorations will be up a bit later though, we won't be back home til after the 4th or so. Oh well! I won't mind coming home after a couple weeks away & coming back, thinking "another year til Christmas... sigh" -- walk in -- BAM! Still decorated! Hahahaha. Might even have to leave a little gift on the couch for my 2 year old to open one last one til next year. :) Oooooh, that sounds like a fun idea.
