Depends on what it is, but I suppose a lot of people do..... If I had planned on getting my kid a pink escalade power wheels and I found a great deal on a like new used one, I would do it.....

I haven't before but I have been given hand me down toys. I guess I would if it was something in great condition.

No but I am planning on buying my son a used PS2 game from the game store.  They are sooo much cheaper.  I can get him a game for like $6

Sometimes it just depends. Like at Once Upon A Child, Twice Blessed and things like that where the quality is really good. You can actually save money there. Like on the BIG tickets items and Melissa & Doug items.

we do it all the time. My dh is a thrift store junky.    My boys are 3 and 1.5 though, so they beat it down the minute they get something anyways. lol

Plus if you love vintage items (not toys) thrift stores are the best place to get them. I have alot of people to buy for that are like me and into the pinup lifestyle. And to get their presents you can get some awesome things on line at goodwill auction site.
