Have you contacted Salvation Army , they will help with gifts, and dinner. They put the kids names on list and put on trees and the kids will get nice gifts, they will give you enough food for a big holiday dinner, and they donate a little extra for under the tree, hats scarves, mittens stuffed animals . Give them a call., they will help even if they are done taking names, sometimes they will try their best. Good Luck with everything and I hope things work out for you and yours.
toys for tots, and I recently found a site that might be usefull by paying a bill for you.modestneeds.com
We are in about the same boat this year have no clue how we are going to make it ,we dont qualify for help because we are not low income however there is no room in our budget for christmas,we normally get a christmas bonus but this year we are fortunate to even have a job.
I know we are all wishing for it. I just hope that whoever it goes to truly needs it and is blessed by it.
I am sorry you are going through this right now at the holidays. The only ones that I can think of that would help has already been mentioned, maybe you could call a church near you and they would offer help for your kids.

Glad you have a lawyer to sort thru that mess. I was in a similar situation ...hit by a truck on the way to my client. Guy that hit me had revoked license, and no insurance.I was cut out of my car and airlifted to trauma center, and was out of work for nearly three years. I had several surgeries, yes sometimes you need several to correct the same injury.
Just keep track of all the medical bills and make sure they get paid, so that it does not affect your credit rating. If there is a problem, put it in writing; document everything. I got four second opinions on my initial surgery ... all is paid by employer.
Now that hubby is home, can you get a job? http://www.indeed.com/
UPS hires seasonal helpers ... great exercise and some extra cash for the holidays: https://ups.managehr.com/Search.aspx?searchid=POP-DH&hr=1&pr=0&c=U&z=&r=&st=MD&ct=&jc=&k=&p=4&jg=&l=
I am sorry to hear this! I know how you feel. My hubby brings home $850 every two weeks, and we thought we were going to be able to afford gifts, but after doing our budget for the next couple of weeks, I am not sure that it's going to be possible, and of course we can't get help for our kids bc he "makes too much money". I feel terrible!
We are in the same boat you are in and we dont qualify for help because I home school my kids and they only accept applications for those with school aged children in public school. We may just do Christmas at tax time and just tell my 8 and 10 yr old the truth about Santa. The twins are 2 and dont understand. I pray things get better for you soon.
