Christmas Babies

I'm just curious how many of you have a Christmas or Christmas Eve baby? And how do you celebrate their birthday so that the birthday doesn't get confused/mixed up with Christmas?   My first was born on Christmas Eve, and for the first couple years, it was a little bit difficult to separate the two, but we as a family have more or less trained ourselves that Christmas doesn't start until we have had her party.  It seems normal to us now.  Anyone else?

My friend's son was born on Christmas Day.  They open Christmas presents Christmas morning, then after dinner they do a birthday cake with his birthday presents.

well I dont have a christmas baby but me and my twin sister are cchristmas babies.  (Christmas day)  my parents would either celebrate it a week ahead or after.  and with family my mom would make us a cake, along with all the pies, and stuff.  then we would eat cake and pie in the evening and open our presents then.

my son will be 2 on Christmas eve we seperate his birthday by celebrating Christmas on the day and his birthday on the eve. it is also my in law's aniversary on Christmas eve... 35 years this year. So it is a little crazy for us but it's definatly doable.  Also as my son gets older I imagine we will celebrate half birthday's for him so he can have a summer party with all his friends and some of the extended family.

People always wondered how in the world we could possibly do a birthday so close to Christmas, and not have our dd feel cheated.  Well, she will be 21 this coming Christmas, and she has never said anything about feeling cheated.  In fact, she loved it when she was in school, because she never had to go to school on her birthday.  And, when I was in the pizza biz, I could get the day off, because of that.

I don't have a Christmas baby. But I am! I was born at a little after 3 am Christmas morning. We've always celebrated my birthday in August.

Our dd's bday is the 23rd.  So it's a little easier.  We celebrate it on the 23rd and then have my family xmas on the 24th, then we have our family xmas on the 25, then that afternoon we travel to my inlaws.  It's crazy busy, but I refuse to combine her bday w/ Christmas.

It's sad b/c my In laws won't come out on her bday b/c they say we'll see you in a couple of days, and dd (who's 6)  sees them come for her brother and sisters party, but not hers.  I hate this, so this year she asked if they were coming, I told her to call Grandma and ask her.  This way they have to be the ones to tell her not me.   That's so mean.
