What gifts are you making by hand this year?

Homemade gifts are the best! Quilts, paintings, toys carved by a loving grandfather or uncle, that pretty cardigan knitted by your mom... The list is endless! Even when money isn't an issue, I enjoy making at least a few of my gifts every year. This year we made our 18 month old daughter a toddler bed, and I have a few smaller projects, like cross-stitches in the works for other family members.

What gifts do plan on making for your loved ones this year?

I am working on a scarf for my dd, and I am going to have all three kids do artwork for grandma. I am also doing homemade baked goods.

I'm thinking about making our Christmas tree from crochet this year, seriously money is that tight!  I'm thinking that a lot of my stuff for my kids this year will be handmade, scarves, hats and stuff like that.  I'm thinking about making my youngest some blocks and crocheted balls that you put around styrofoam pieces.  Anything to save money this year cause unless a miracle comes our way Christmas is going to be a major washout this year.

Just about everything. Shawl and socks for my mom, blanket and sweater for my DD, cookbook for my brother and sil, sweater for my niece.

I'm not going to summarize myself in a paragraph because I'm not the kind of mother you expect me to be.

Probably just baking. I will make breads for our families to enjoy for breakfast. I think I will make cookies or fudge for 2 of our neighbors.

Just a few x-stitch projects.  A Pooh pillow for my daughter and two Welcome signs.  The stitching for the pillow is done, just need to put fabric on the back and stuff it.

These are the other two projects I am working on.

I think I am going to do some cross stitching! It has been a long time since I have done any and we have a grand child, our first one:), that will be here in about a week! He already has more than what he needs so I want to make him something special.
