To a successful shopping trip?  (You know, where you only come back with you intended to buy in the first place)  Unfortunately, I usually come back with more than I intended to get.

By going over my list several times to make sure I have everything we need. And, if it isn't on the list, i do not buy it.

If I'm being really strict with the budget, I take my list, my calculator, and cash, and leave all of my cards and checkbook at home!! I don't have a choice then, I stick to the list!!!

Bring only a limited amount of cash...that way there's no overspending.

No kids! LOL!

Know the store, have a list, try not to deviate from the list, have all my coupons ready. Also, I try to plan my driving route so that I hit the stores in a more convenient way.

I know, everytime I bring my kiddos they always see something they want

It's either that or they get me so flustered I just start throwing stuff in the cart so we can get the heck out of there!
