Nope, both grandparents are nearby, so we just ask them.

Thankfully, grandma is usually available.  But I don't like last minute plans, because I don't want her to feel like she has too.  So usually if they don't give me enough notice, I won't go.

It is for  me. We have a babysitter, but we have only called on her once for last minute and she was not available. I just hired another babysitter, so hopefully we will have a better chance if we need someone last minute.

We don't have a last minute babysitter, we usually like to make plans in advance, probably give it a shot if grandma is busy or not. But making plans ahead of time is better for us.

Yes it is. There are a lot of assumptions about Autism (my son is autistic) that make some people very leery about taking care of a child who is Autistic. The only people who aren't all that afraid of taking care of myson are my parents and they aren't always available, lol.

Yes it was. We ended up not going out and inviting the friends to our place.

I almost NEVER ask anyone to watch my kids, the only people I really have are my MIL and one friend. And I don' t like to ask my MIL for ANYTHING.

Not usually. We have alot of family around that loves to watch the kiddos. I havent hired a "babysitter" in years. The only times we did is when they were younger and we were going to events with family that were not toddler friendly.
