Is there a nickname for microwaves?

I know that a refrigerator can be called a fridge. What about microwaves? There must be some shorter word that we could use and not have to type out microwave all the time?

Actually I guess that microwave is already short for microwave oven, but still there must be something shorter.

We say nuker here or just "micro".

 we always say nuk just nuk it a few mins but kinda like  zapper as stated above ---never really thought about it til now nuk it or zap it   that is the question gigglesssss -good post
