......your shoes when you go to someone's house....even for few minutes? Do you expect other to do so?

only if it's a rule in their home...it's not here even though we, ourselves, do it at home.

I'm used to taking them off.......Just the way it is back in my country and I just feel like it's showing respect to those who live there........I don't particularly care if my guest take the shoes off or not. Of course if it's wet outside..snow rain whatever...than I do hope and sometimes ask to take the shoes off or just offer them slippers :) so they get the message...:)

If it's one of their rules and they ask me to, I would take my shoes off. On a normal basis, I do not. I do not ask people to take their shoes off before coming in my house though.

I will completely ask them if I should. I tell people to in my house.

Yes I do..unless I'm not going to go into their home. If I actually go inside my shoes remain at the door and I prefer that others do the same at my house.

I tend to because I hate to wear shoes

I take mine off, unless they say I can keep them on.

Sometimes depends on the shoes and if I know that it's a standing rule or not.
