It used to be that couponing was about the un-hippest thing you could do. These days, though, couponing is cool thanks to shows like "Extreme Couponing" that show people walking out of the store with unbelievable deals ... like four carts of groceries for $9.
Of course, those people are just a wee bit obsessed. However, as someone who's used coupons my whole adult life, I think it's equally as crazy to not use them. And you can do it without setting aside a room in your home for newspaper inserts and filling your basement with a stockpile of discounted goods.
All you have to do is acquire a Sunday newspaper with its coupon inserts and start clipping the coupons for brands you like or new products you want to try. Feeling a little more energetic? Flip through the sales circulars and figure out what coupons you have that match things that are on sale, and you're saving even more....and without spending a whole hour of your precious time.
KMart has coupons on their site that you can simply click to "clip" and then print them all out together. Many manufacturers will have coupons on their websites, also.
You'd be surprised how much you can save with just a little vigilance...without turning it into an "extreme" lifestyle.
