 Why is it that children are always "STARVING" when they see you walking in with a bunch of groceries ? ( i remember doing this as a child!)

 You spend a year of your child's life waiting impatiently for them to start walking and talking ...then you spend the rest of the years until they move out, that they would just slow down ..and let you get a sentence in! lol
