Holiday sweaters have become hot....Justin Bieber even wore one that cost $1,500 (!!!) to perform on the Today Show. If you're spending that kind of money on something (or even investing a more down-to-earth amount) it's good to be able to get some post-December use out of it.
If your sweater is bedecked with Santa or Christmas trees, or if you bought it specifically to try to win "Ugliest" at the annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party (these are a thing), its best to put it away until next year. But if you went a little more subtle on the holiday theme, you can get a lot more milage out of it.
Fair Isle sweaters are really popular this year and both make nice holiday wear and can look good until springtime.
This sweater from KMart would look really nice dressed up with a chiffon skirt and boots, or dressed down with denim.
American Eagle has this sweater dress on clearance. It would look great with leggings for a casual night out with friends.
J. Crew takes the Fair Isle trend to leggings, which would be so cute under a denim skirt with a sweater and scarf that pick up colors in the leggings....and warm, too!
Do you do the holiday sweater thing? And if you do, have you ever tried to recycle the look later in the winter?
