Anyone drive (now or previously) a Ford Explorer or Expedition?

Whenever I get gas I have to have the pump hanging so far out of the tank it's barely in there or it shuts off like the tank is full.  Sometimes I don't even get a full tank of gas because I can't tell if it's really full or just shutting off like usual.  Today I was under a quarter tank and it shut off before I was at $9 so I had to keep pulling out the handle to get it to keep going.

Just wondering if this is common with these vehicles or just mine!  LOL  I hate it!

I use to have one but got rid of it. I want to say I remember that, but it was like 5 yes ago. but it would stall out on me, just random when i stopped at a light, stop sign, etc. There wasn't a code either. They scanned it. Mine was an 04.

That sounds annoying. One of my vehicles used to do that too.

Seems like I remember that with our Explorer, but not with our Expedition.

its the way the pipe bends going into the tank. if i held the handle more at like a 90 degree angle instead of up and down it worked better. i hated our explorer. biggest piece of junk ever!

That's funny because it's an expedition, I just figured they were so closely related that both might do it.  LOL
