Shop clockwise and save big dollars at the grocery store. Most shopper traffic in grocery stores naturally flows counterclockwise. But when customers move clockwise, according to research by Sorensen Associates, they spend less time in the aisles and, therefore, less money.
try it and let me know if it works
i usually have a list and just go by that and dont stray.
I have a routine. I go straight to the back to the milk and such and move my way through to the front of the store which is produce. I do NOT go down any aisles that do not have things I need in them. My shopping trips take about an hour from start to finish when I have the kids with me. Less if I'm by myself. That's more of a determining factor than which direction I'm going lol.
