Your kids love to play, of course they do--they're kids! And like most kids, and many adults I know including myself, they don't like to clean up. The worst offender is when you do anything arts-and-crafts related. Here are a few tips for keeping it clean--or at least cleaner--your next craft day.
Yucky Bucket: Keep a "yucky bucket" on the table for kids to throw trash in, like scraps of paper or broken crayons. A plastic sand/beach pail works great. Even better, give one to each kid and let them decorate their own trash can.
Drop Cloth: Buy a plastic shower liner curtain or table cloth and put it on the floor below the workspace. Great for messy projects, as well as any kitchen/cooking projects you might do. Bring it outside and shake the crumbs out and you're down.
Baskets and Bins: To keep things organized clearly label every bucket and basket so kids (and you) know in a split second that markers go in this bucket and paint supplies in this one.
