My DS is in high school and at the beginning of every year all the HS students get their own Macbooks to use for the year and they get to take them home at nights but at the end of the year they have to turn them back in.

My nephew's does. I think that's crazy. My daughter's school isn't funded to get that stuff.

My husband has one and my 2 yr old has loved it since she was 15 months old!  She is better at it than even I am!

DS has them in his school. Oprah redid their library and they came with the upgrade

Dd isn't in school. But she has an iPad.

No, they couldn't possibly afford iPads in our school district.  As it is they are using ancient computers.

Yes! My severely delayed son uses one everyday and every night for augmentative communication. Best invention ever!
